Founder of Mathieu Quesnel Professional Corporation
A Casselman, Ontario native, Mathieu Quesnel distinguished himself by serving his community as a municipal councillor for nearly a decade — starting at age 19! This determination to serve his community — and beyond — continued to thrive thanks to his academic experience, graduating from the University of Ottawa Civil Law program (LL.L) in 2001 and the Common Law program (LL.B) in 2002.
Mathieu Quesnel completed his Bar Admission course in 2003.
From 2002 to 2003, he articled with Tolhurst and Miller in L’Orignal, Ontario and was called to the bar in 2003. He launched his practice in L’Orignal with Tolhurst and Miller working primarily in criminal law and litigation.
Mathieu Quesnel practices law in Casselman since being called to the Bar, and proudly opened the doors to his full-time law office on the town’s main street in 2009.
In March 2010, following the death of Mr. Alain Benoit, Mathieu Quesnel took over the files, including all the wills, from the office of Benoit and Benoit of Cassselman, Ontario. He ensured the continuity for that firm’s clients by, hiring legal assistant Chantal Brisson, formerly of Benoit and Benoit.
Mathieu is married (to a lawyer) and is a devoted father of two. He remains committed to his community’s groups, activities and charities.
“It’s always been a dream, since I was a kid growing up in Casselman, to one day become a lawyer and practice law in my hometown, to help the people in my own community. That dream has come true because this community believes in me as much as I believe in it.”
